Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream

Hello Friends,

In a blink, we have already reached September and the optimistic hope is still on. Hope the fall and the winter brings out something satisfactory and upstanding.

As the summer season is fading away, the quench of eating Ice Cream is emerging and what a better way to end the season by amalgamating Ice Cream with its famous companion – Brownies. Yes, we made brownies this weekend and it was exceptionally fudgy and delicious.

Brownies come in a variety of forms and may be either fudgy or cakey, depending on their density. They may include nuts, frosting, cream cheese, chocolate chips, or other ingredients.
The one which we made was more fudgy and chocolaty.

So, without much ado lets start the recipe :

Preparation Time : 15 minutes, Cooking Time/Baking Time : 25-30 minutes, Calories : 466/100 gms.

Ingredients :

  1. Dark Chocolate – 200 gms
  2. Butter – 170 gms
  3. Sugar – 160 gms
  4. Eggs – 2
  5. Vanilla Extract – 2 teaspoons
  6. All Purpose Flour – 96 gms
  7. Cocoa Powder – 32 gms
  8. Salt – 1 teaspoon

Directions :

  1. Melt 100 gms chocolate in a stove top or in a microwave and keep it aside.
  2. Now, in a mixing bowl, add the melted butter and sugar and give it a nice stir so that the sugar gets properly mixed with the butter.
  3. Throw in 2 eggs and add vanilla essence and mix it properly. There should be no lumps in this mix.
  4. Now, add the melted chocolate and mix it again. Ensure you are not over mixing the batter.
  5. Now, sieve in the dry ingredients – All Purpose Flour/Cocoa Powder and salt and mix the batter nicely.
  6. Parallely, grease the baking tin/pan with butter/oil and place parchment paper on top.
  7. In the batter, add 100 gms chocolate chunks/large choco chips and stir it properly.
  8. Pre-heat the oven at 180 degree celcius.
  9. Transfer the batter to the baking tin and bake it for 25-30 minutes at 180 degree celcius.

Tip of the day : Try using a square 8-inch baking pan. This will ensure that the brownies are rising properly.

The fudgiest brownies are now ready to be eaten. Make sure to combine it with Ice Cream and enjoy every bite of it.

Ganesh Chaturthi Special – Coconut Laddoo

Today is Day 6 of the chaturthi festival and with Lord’s grace everything is going virtuous until now. I am actually loving cooking everyday for Bappa, it gives immense purity and faith to my soul.

Now, talking about Lord Ganesha, Hindu deities are seldom depicted without their particular β€˜vahana’ (vehicles) on which they travel. These vahanas are either animals or birds and symbolises the various forces they ride. So, is in the case of Lord Ganesha. His “Vahana” is a “Mooshak” or a “Mouse”. The mouse represents ego. Lord Ganesha using the mouse represents the need to control ego and so it’s said that one who controls his ego has Ganesha consciousness.The wandering mouse also signifies the wavering human mind.

 It is said that if one whispers their wishes in his ear, he transfers this message to lord gently and the desires are fulfilled. In every situation, mouse is always seen with the Lord. It is said that the Mouse of the Lord is just a vehicle, he is his friend that is why Lord Listens his messages that are conveyed by the devotees. The mouse is also offered with sweets specially Ladoo or Modak.

Now, coming to the offerings, I did aleady share the recipe of Modak in my last blogs. Today, I am going to share the recipe of Ladoo – Coconut Ladoo which I did prepare yesterday and it came out good πŸ™‚ It was a quick and easy recipe I learnt , but you need to make sure that you have all the ingredients handy. This time, I made laddoos using the 3 step process, but later down the line, I would also share an elaborated process of making Laddoos.

Preparation Time : 15 minutes, Cooking Time : 15-17 minutes, Calories : 115/Laddoo.

Ingredients :

  1. Desiccated/Shredded Coconut – 1.5 cups
  2. Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  3. Sweetened Condensed Milk – 180 gms
  4. Milk ( Half Cream) – 40 gms
  5. Raisins – 10-15
  6. Cardamom Powder – 2 tablespoons

Directions :

  1. In a pan, add the ghee and heat it slightly.
  2. Once the ghee gets heated up, add the grated coconut and fry it lightly. We do not need to “brown” the same as it might turn bitter.
  3. Now, add the condensed milk and the half cream milk to the coconut. Give it a nice stir.
  4. Add the raisins and the cardamom powder at this stage and mix it well.
  5. Now, cook the mixture until the coconut fat starts getting released from the sides. You will also see the milk is thickening and getting mingled with the coconut.
  6. Now, once the mixture is cooked completely, keep it aside and cool it down.
  7. Once the mixture has been cooled, make small balls/circles out of it. You can easily make 15-17 ladoos if you use the above mentioned quantity.
  8. Now, roll the ladoo on the desiccated coconut powder and repeat the same for all the ladoos.

Ladoos are now ready to be served πŸ™‚

Ganesh Chaturthi Special – Modak

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all my dear friends,

Yes, today is the day of deity. The eternal Lord who takes away all the obstacles and brings health, wealth and prosperity – Yes its our Ganpati Bappa. I remember looking out for Bappa everywhere ever since I was too little. He is also known as Ganesh or Vinayaka.

Although he is known by many attributes, Ganesha’s elephant head makes him easy to identify. Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi first originated at Maharashtra which was later moved to other states as well. It is widely celebrated throughout the Indian nation with full faith and belief. An annual festival honors Ganesha for ten days, starting on this day (Ganesha Chaturthi) which typically falls in late August or early September. During this day, devotees offer number of offerings to the Lord which also includes Modak, Laddu, Sheera,Halwa, Payasam, Poori and Aloo. Devotees worshiping also sustain fasting for the God and happy to say that I am also the one fasting this year.

So, I did get up early morning and started preparing for the rituals. I Know that Ganesh Ji loves Modak and what would be better start than this. I had all the ingredients ready for the same, however, I made one small mistake with the proportion of water and flour due to which I had to go through the same process again. But, you learn from your mistakes and I am happy that I was able to offer deluctable Modaks to Lord Ganesh.

So, without much ado lets start the recipe!! Please do remember to follow the measured quantity to avoid any rework.

Ingredients :

  1. Water – 1 cup
  2. Rice Flour – 1 cup
  3. Ghee – 2 tablespoons
  4. Salt – A pinch
  5. Jaggery Powder – 150 gms
  6. Shredded Coconut – 100 gms
  7. Poppy seeds – 1 tablespoon
  8. Dry Fruits – chopped 20 gms

Directions :

  1. In a pan, add 1 cup water, 1 tbsp ghee and pinch of salt. bring it to boil. Once the water starts boiling, add in the Rice Flour and mix it for 1 min in 1 direction .

**I added 1 and 1/2 cup of water in the first attempt and the dough got too sticky. As a result, all my modaks broke apart πŸ™

2. Allow the flour mix to cool down. Once cooled down, start kneading the same. Apply some oil on your palm, and start to make a soft dough out of the same.

3. Make sure there are no lumps in the dough and it should be soft enough. Keep it aside and start working on the filling.

4. In another cooking pan, add 1 table ghee and roast the poppy seeds. Keep it aside. Now, in the same pan add the Jaggery Powder and shredded coconut and fry for another 10 minutes.

** If you do not have Jaggery Powder, add in the Jaggery rock itself and melt it in ghee. This makes the filling even more consistent.

5. Now, from the already prepared dough, make small balls and press it with your palm. Softly start pressing the ends of the dough. Put the jaggery and coconut filling inside it and close/seal the ends. You can alternatively use the modak shaper to shape the modaks. I did use my hand and trust me it worked πŸ™‚

6. Repeat the same process for all the balls. With this quantity, you would be able to make about 7-8 modaks.

7. In a steamer, steam the modak for 8-10 minutes and allow it to cool down for sometime.

Modak is now ready to be served πŸ™‚

How to Make Malai Cake/Rabri Cake

Have you ever heard of these lines..These golden words are written by Robert Frost from the Road Not Taken. I do not know why I am quoting these lines today in my blog, but whenever I ponder through it, I realize how closely it is related to our lives.:)

Thoughts apart, today I am extremely excited to share this recipe with you as this turned out exceptionally delicious and the feedback received was actually worthwhile. This is really easy to make and a perfect dessert for all the sweet lovers. Once again, I would not emphasize much on the benefits of eating this cake because afterall its a dessert and its totally upto you and your cheat diet plan whether you want to consume it or not.

So, without much ado, lets start the recipe !!

Preparation Time : 10 minutes, Cooking Time : 35 minutes, Calories : 175 calories/50 gms.


For Cake :

  1. Oil : 43 gms
  2. Curd : 50 gms
  3. Powdered Sugar : 100 gms
  4. All Purpose Flour : 210 gms
  5. Baking Powder : 1 tablespoon
  6. Baking Soda : 1 tablespoon
  7. Milk : 118 ml

For Rabri :

  1. Milk : 1 litre
  2. Sugar : 4 tablespoons
  3. Elaichi/Cardamom Powder : 1 tablespoon
  4. Saffron strands : 8 -10

Directions :

For the Cake :

  1. Pre heat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the wet ingredients one by one : Oil, sugar and curd. Whisk it properly so that the sugar gets properly mixed in the oil.
  3. Now, throw in all the dry ingredients – All purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda, milk and mix it properly. Mix the wet and the dry ingredients together and make a smooth batter out of it.
  4. Add more milk to this batter if you feel its too thick. It should be smooth enough so that soft peaks are formed.
  5. Transfer the batter to a baking tray ( greased with butter ) and bake it for 35 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.
  6. Cake is now ready.

For the Rabri :

  1. Add 1 litre milk in a pan. The milk should be full fat. You can also use skimmed milk but it is very difficult to get the right consistency in a skimmed milk.
  2. Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands and bring it to boil.
  3. Once the milk gets boiled and gets reduced by 40%, shut down the flame.

Cake Assembling :

  1. Now, using a fork, prick the cake properly all over.
  2. Pour the Rabri to the cake so that it gets properly incorporated inside and the cake becomes more softer and fluffier.
  3. Put the cake inside the fridge and leave it for 2-3 hrs.
  4. Enjoy it πŸ™‚

So, after going through the recipe, you must have understood that the recipe is super easy to make and bake.If you do not have a oven at home, you can also steam it for 35 minutes and the results would be equally awesome. You can also alter the quantity of sugar based on your choice.

Zebra Marble Cake

How was your Simcoe long weekend ? Did you do something exciting ? Please share your experiences in the comment section below. I could not post anything on Monday as I got pretty occupied with office work and other non avoidable tasks.

This weekend I tried baking an egg less Marble cake which I was thinking of making for a very long time now, and let me tell me you my friends, I was actually amazed with the results. The best part I like about this cake that it is pretty easy to bake and doesn’t need any backbreaking.

I would not iterate the benefits of eating it because after all its a Cake and it just helps to take away the sweet craving of your tooth. The level of sugar and sweetness totally depends upon your choice and liking πŸ™‚

So, without much lets start the recipe !!

Preparation Time : 15 minutes, Cooking Time : 35 minutes, Calories : 316/100 gms

Ingredients :

  1. 224 gms – All Purpose Flour
  2. 96 gms – Cocoa Powder.
  3. Baking Powder – 1 and 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Baking Soda – 1 and 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt – 1 teaspoon
  6. Powdered Sugar – 180 gms
  7. Coconut/Vegetable Oil – 112 gms
  8. Yogurt – 120 gms
  9. Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon
  10. Milk – 120 Ml
  11. Water + instant coffee mix – 170 ml + 1 tsp strong coffee powder.
  12. Vanilla Extract – 2 teaspoon
  13. Butter – 2 tablespoons

Directions :

  1. We need to make sure that the exact measured quantity needs to be used. This allows the cake to come into a desired texture and consistency.
  2. Pre Heat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
  3. Sieve out these ingredients in one bowl – All purpose flour/baking powder/baking soda/salt and mix it well.
  4. In another mixing bowl, add in the oil,powdered sugar,yogurt,lemon juice,milk, and vanilla essence. Give it a nice stir so that the batter gets even.
  5. In the wet ingredients, start adding the dry ingredients part by part until a smooth texture batter is formed. You can add little milk if you see that the batter is too thick. It should form steep edges.
  6. Now, divide this batter equally among two parts. In the other part, add the cocoa powder , coffee powder and little water. Mix it well. Now, we have two batter – One Vanilla and another chocolate.
  7. Now, in a baking tray, put in the parchment paper and grease it with little oil.
  8. Now, this step is important – Pour little vanilla batter in the baking tray, On top of that, add the chocolate batter. Repeat the steps, until the vanilla and chocolate pattern is formed.
  9. allow it to bake for 30-35 mins at 180 degree Celsius.

Cake is now ready to be eaten πŸ™‚ You can top it up with Chocolate ganache or vanilla ganache or you can even make any cream cheese icing on the top.

Quick and Easy Chocolava Cake recipe

Hope you are all doing good and enjoying the summers. Hope you did like and try out the last posted recipe of Sambar, please do give it a try if you haven’t done so.

I am planning to make and post few recipes involving cool breezers/mocktails. However, for this week I am going to share a really quick and easy recipe of Chocolava cake. Trust me my friends, It was a super easy technique of making the cake and it turned out really delicious.

You do not even need an oven or any complex technique for making the same. It can be done using simple procedures and it is definitely going to take out the sweet cravings that gets aroused just after dinner..hahah :D. Although I do not have sweet tooth, but this ” not so sweet” cake has become one of my personal favorites during the lockdown period.

Talking about Chocolava cake, the first depiction which pops up my mind, as soon as I think about it is : “Dominos”. Back in India, while I was posted in Bangalore, me and my roommate often used to visit Dominos just for this cake. Let me confess, that I like this cake the most out of their entire menu..;)

The ingredients of this cake is really simple and readily available. It also needs dark chocolate ( which will be used as a lava). The most important thing to keep in mind while making this cake is the proportion and the right measurement. I also did mess up with the measurement once and the cake turned chewy and tasteless. So, make sure you are following the below measurements. However, the recipe is for 4 servings ( 4 small lava cakes).

You can change/alter the quantity as per the servings.

So, without much ado, lets start the recipe !!

Preparation Time : 10 minutes, cooking Time : 10 minutes, Calories :

Ingredients :

Dry Ingredients :

  1. All purpose Flour – 1/2 cup or 64 gms
  2. Cocoa Powder – 2 heaped tablespoon
  3. Baking Soda – 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Salt – A pinch
  5. Dark Chocolate – 100 gms

Wet Ingredients :

  1. Chilled water – 110 ml
  2. Oil – 3 tablespoons
  3. Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon
  4. Powdered Sugar – 50 gms
  5. Vanilla Essence – 1 teaspoon

For Dusting Mould :

  1. Butter : 1 teaspoon
  2. Flour – 2 tablespoon

Directions :

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix all the wet ingredients as per the stated quantity : chilled water + sugar + oil + lemon juice + vanilla essence.
  2. In another mixing bowl, mix all the dry ingredients as per the stated quantity : All purpose flour + cocoa powder + baking soda + salt.
  3. Now, mix the dry and the wet ingredients together. Do not overmix it. Gently turn across with a spatula and keep it aside.
  4. Now, grease small steel bowl ( preferred) with butter. Repeat the same for 4 bowls.
  5. Cut the dark chocolates into small pieces.
  6. Pour little cake batter to the bowl. Now, add the small chocolate piece and then pour the batter again on top of that.
  7. While you are making the bowls ready,parallely, heat water in a pan/steamer. Place the bowls in the steamer and steam it for 4-5 minutes, not more than that.
  8. After that remove the cake from that mould gently and serve warm.
  9. The dark chocolate melts and oozes out smoothly πŸ™‚

Healthy 3 ingredient IceCream

Here I am back again on a busy Monday with a new recipe but with the same compassion and love towards cooking :D. Today I am really excited to share this recipe with you all, reason being its super duper healthy and at the same it curbs your desire of eating a dessert.Also, this IceCream is overly easy to make and does not need much effort.

The summer is slowly reaching its peak in North America and so is the desire of eating something cool and chilled and what would be a better alternative than an Ice Cream. All you need to make this dessert is Ripened Bananas,Cocoa Powder and Peanut or Almond butter πŸ™‚ There is no need to add sugar to this, Bananas should be ripened enough to make it just sweet and candied which makes it even healthier.

So, without much ado, lets start the recipe !!

Preparation Time : 5 mins , Cooking Time : 15 minutes, Calories : 120-130

Ingredients :

  1. Riped and frozen Bananas – 4
  2. Peanut Butter – 2 tablespoons
  3. Cocoa Powder – 40 gms
  4. Milk – 10 ml


  1. Make sure that you have a high power Blender or a food processor. If you making it in a regular mixer grinder, it might damage the motor.
  2. Also, please ensure that the bananas are ripened enough. Little black marks on it makes it just perfect to be used. If the bananas are not ripened enough the Ice Cream would just taste like Bananas and would not give you the perfect Ice Cream flavor.
  3. Dice the bananas and place it in a ziplocker bag and place it in the freezer for about 2 hours.
  4. Take out the frozen bananas from the freezer and throw them into the high power blender.
  5. Now, add the Cocoa Powder and Peanut Butter and very little milk. You can also replace peanut butter with Almond butter.
  6. Blend it until smooth.
  7. The Ice Cream is now ready to be eaten.

Either eat it right away or place it in the freezer for about 3-4 hours. You can also add chocochip before placing it into the freezer but thats completely optional.

It tastes like a soft serve chocolate Ice cream and is extremely soft and gooey.

Besan Ke Laddu

How are you all doing ? Apologies from my end as I could not post anything last week as I got preoccupied with lots of office weekend work and scheduled releases. Did not really get much time to cook and record.Yet, I am back again on blog posting a recipe which was my ultimate favorite during my childhood days. Yes, you got it right…Its Besan Ke Laddoo..

I remember bugging my Mother and Maasi ( Mommy and Mommy’s sister) to make this laddu every month and I used to thoroughly enjoy each and every bite of it. I tried replicating this dessert for the very first time in my life and let me be very honest that the laddoos made by them wins hands down, not because the recipe had some special ingredient or elements but because of immense love and affection they pour it in the laddoos to make it extraordinary which makes them irreplaceable.

LadduΒ orΒ laddooΒ is a sphere-shaped sweet originating from the Indian subcontinent; the name originated from theΒ SanskritΒ wordΒ Lattika. Laddus are primarily made from flour, fat (ghee/butter/oil) and sugar. Besan ke laddu are very popular in the northern, western and eastern parts of India. The major ingredient for this recipe is Gram flour, Ghee and Sugar.

Gram Flour/Besan has number of health benefits which includes – weight loss/sugar level control/skin tightening etc.. On the other hand, Ghee is also extremely beneficial for the body and is a very good source of energy and good fat. You should make it a habit of including ghee in your diet, But, please do remember that excess of anything is not good πŸ™‚ So eat right and stay fit.

So, without much ado, lets start the recipe !!

Preparation Time : 10 minutes, Cooking Time : 45- 50 minutes, Calories : 165 calories.


  1. Ghee – 1 cup.
  2. Besan – 1 and half cup
  3. Powdered Sugar – 1/2 cup. You can change this quantity based on the level of your desired sweetness.
  4. Dry Fruits – Finely Chopped for garnish.
  5. Cardamom Powder – 1 tablespoon


  1. Finely chop some dry fruits ( Cashew,Almonds,Raisins,Pistachios) and keep them aside.
  2. In a cooking pan, add 2 tablespoons of ghee and all of the besan. Start cooking and stirring them on a low-medium flame.
  3. Please remember that Besan/Gram Flour should be properly cooked on a low flame to give it a roasted nutty flavor. If the besan isnt cooked properly, it might taste raw and bitter. So, lots of patience is needed to cook the same.
  4. After, 15 minutes, you will see that besan has changed its color to golden brown. At this stage and add 2 more tablespoons of ghee and stir it along.
  5. Add the cardamom powder to this mixture now.
  6. The besan would start thickening and would start getting firm as it is cooked. Keep stirring the mixture so that it doesnt stick to the bottom of the pan.
  7. After 10-15 minutes, you will see that the besan has cooked even more. At this stage add 2 more tablespoons of ghee and stir it along.
  8. The mixture would become even thicker and of a smoother consistency and after some time, you will observe that the ghee starts getting released from the sides.
  9. Now, turn of the flame and allow the mixture to cool down a bit. It will turn into a holding consistency.
  10. After the mixture is cooled down , add the powdered sugar to it as per your taste. Mix it very well.
  11. Now, throw half of the chopped dry fruits to it.
  12. Now, start making small balls from the mixture. The ball size completely depends upon your choice. I made it a little smaller.
  13. It will be very tender when hot. You can make the laddoos and cool it down for sometime to bring out more flavor to it. Garnish it with dry fruits and enjoy!!

Rainbow Crepe Cake Recipe

How did the weekend go ? I know the weather in Canada is fluctuating , while each one of us were waiting for the sunlight, it suddenly turned a little windy and chilly. The weather here is unpredictable and uncertain.

I actually enjoyed this weekend, do you know why ? Because it was my birthday and my friends surprised me with a Unicorn Red Velvet Cake which was super delicious. Also, this weekend, we made the most awaited Cake on my bucket list – Yes Rainbow Crepe Cake πŸ™‚ . I tried it for the very first time in Toronto Downtown and straight away I fell in love with that dessert. In 2018-2019, this dessert went viral among YouTube Mukbangers and ASMRs ( due to its soft and squishy texture).

It is really a very simple recipe, however needs a lot of patience due to the various food colors involved in making the cake. The layers has to duly placed and assembled and can be layered with various fillings like Whipped Cream/Nutella/Cream Chesse/Lemon curd etc. I did use the simple whipped cream.

So, without much ado, lets start the recipe !!

Preparation Time : 15 minutes, Cooking Time : 60 minutes, Calories : 120/serving


  1. Eggs – 5
  2. All Purpose Flour – 280 gms
  3. Milk – 710 Ml
  4. Butter – 6 tablespoons melted
  5. Sugar – 7 tablespoons
  6. Food Color – VIBGYOR ( Violet/Indigo/Blue/Green/Yellow/Orange/Red)
  7. Whipped Cream – 1.6 Lt

Directions :

  1. In a mixing Bowl, take 35% full fat whipped cream and start beating it using an egg beater until soft peaks are formed. Please add sugar to the whipped cream as per your taste. We just added 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  2. In another mixing bowl start preparing the cake batter.
  3. For preparing the cake batter, add the eggs, all purpose flour, milk, butter and sugar. Mix it very well so that no lumps are formed.
  4. Now, transfer the batter equally in 7 bowls and start adding food color to it. First Bowl should have Violet color, second one should be Indigo and so on..
  5. On a nonstick skillet over medium heat, pour little purple crepe batter, and tip the pan to cover the entire bottom surface. Cook the crepe, it begins to gently bubble and cook through, then flip. Repeat until all of the different color crepe batter is used. We were able to make 2 crepes of each color.
  6. Stack crepes on top of each other, starting with purple, then blue, green, yellow, orange, and red, with whipped cream between each layer.
  7. Cover the Crepe cake entirely with whipped cream on the outside.
  8. Place it in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes.
  9. Slice,serve and enjoy !!

We enjoyed the cake thoroughly and loved every bite of it. Please note that the indigo color is not easily available in the stores so you can replace it with a similar blue textured color.

Mango Mousse Cake

Hello My Dearest Fan Foodies,

So, how did the last weekend go ? Summers are advancing and some of you might have also taken a little drive through the hills and forest.. I know the constraint do exist, but we will be able to overcome through it very soon πŸ™‚

You know what, I actually wait for the weekends for 2 reasons..first and foremost is – It gives me a brief break from the busy work schedule and conference calls and second ( which is also my favorite), I try out something new..a dessert/confectionery/savory :).

Summers accompanies Mangoes with it and what can a better start of weekend with a Mango Mousse Cake. AΒ mousse is a soft prepared food that incorporates air bubbles to give it a light and airy texture. It can range from light and fluffy to creamy and thick, depending on preparation techniques. A mousse may beΒ sweet or savory. A sweet mousse is generally made using beaten eggs and whipped creams.

So, the recipe I am going to share today is the most simplest and tastiest form I ever had. It doesn’t needs any Gelatin, agar-agar or eggs.All it need is Mangoes and Whipped Cream πŸ™‚

Also, to add here, this recipe does not contains much virtual sugar because the mangoes are sweet enough to take ahead as a dessert.

Preparation Time : 10 minutes, Cooking Time : 15 minutes, Freezing Time : 5 to 6 hrs, Calories : 300/serving

So, without much ado, lets get started !!

Ingredients :

  1. Mangoes – 2 Ripe
  2. Whipped Cream – 35 % full fat, 475 ml
  3. Sugar – 1 tablespoon
  4. Yellow Food Color – 1 tablespoon
  5. Butter – 1 tablespoon at room temperature.
  6. Digestive biscuits – 5 to 6 finely crushed.
  7. White Chocolate – half ( This is optional)


  1. In a mixer grinder, crush the digestive biscuits evenly. Transfer it to bowl.
  2. Add the butter to the biscuit mixture and mix it properly.
  3. Now, take a 7 inch greased pan and transfer this mixture to the pan. Make sure to properly spread it out and press it using a spoon to make it even.
  4. Now, in another mixing bowl, add 400 ml whipped cream and start whisking it using an electric beater. You can also beat manually but that would take little time. Add one spoon sugar and whisk it again.
  5. Gradually, add mangoes to the whipping cream and beat it until soft peaks are formed. The whole whisking process takes about 5 -7 minutes.
  6. Add yellow food color to this and whisk for additional 20-30 seconds.
  7. Now, transfer this soft and airy whipping cream on top of the biscuit layer ( to the greased pan).
  8. Quickly, heat 75 ml of whipping cream and add white chocolate to it ( 5 – 6 cubes) . Heat and mix until a glazy texture is formed. Immediately, turn of the heat. Add pinch of yellow food color to the same.
  9. Transfer the chocolate glaze on top of the whipping cream. This step is optional.
  10. Now, transfer the greased pan to the freezer and freeze it for about 5 – 6 hrs.
  11. You can bring it room temperature just 15 minutes before consuming it.

And you are done πŸ™‚ See its so easy. Trust me my friends, the flavour was so mango sweet just like an Ice cream with a creamy texture. Truly loved every bite of it and I am definitely going to try this again πŸ™‚
